1980 Triumph Bonneville T140EX. Classic Meriden Bonneville 750 Executive.

Fantastic, immaculate, 1980 Meriden Triumph Bonneville T140EX (Executive) for sale.  Not concours but an extremely clean and tidy example of this limited edition model.  Only 1500 of these were produced with most of them going to the USA.  My bike has only covered slightly less than 13,000 miles.  I am the third owner, the first being the supplying dealer in August 1980, the second owning the bike from May 1981 to January 2011 when I bought it.  Probably one of the best examples available it's now for sale because I can, regrettably, no longer ride it due to advancing age - of the rider not the bike! 

This bike has all the original equipment fitted which comprises a colour matched Brearly-Smith handlebar fairing, Sigma Panniers and Sigma Topbox.  Please note that the topbox lid locks are missing but the pannier locks are OK as are the pannier and topbox locks to the pannier and topbox frame.  Please also note that the steering lock does not work.

Two owner's handbooks, 1-1980 and 1-1981 and two full sets of keys available together with an original 1982 Triumph catalogue, which features this model in the same colour.  Also included is a full black pvc tank cover in its original packaging in unused condition, a Sigma topbox pvc cover, a colour matched spare rear mudguard and an assortment of spare indicator stalks to suit the bike if the fairing is removed.  

History:

• New Avon AM26 tyres fitted in January 2011 with new tubes and rim tapes.
• New YB9-B Endurance battery fitted in March 2011.
• Replacement peashooter silencers fitted in June 2011.
• At 11,970-miles engine was completely rebuilt with new mains, barrels, pistons, cylinder head and valve gear.  All OK for unleaded fuel.
• New Hagon rear shocks fitted at same time.
• In, about, 2005 all control cables were replaced.
• In, about, 2001 original wheels were replaced with Akront alloy rims, ss spokes and new rear hub. 
• MOT certificates available from 2009 to prove mileage.
