work carried out:
recent battery, full head rebuild including waterpump cambelt gaskets etc full, service including spark plugs air filter rotor arm dizzy etc, stripped and rebuilt all brakes including new front pads rear shoes wheel cylinders brake fluid, great full respray sunburst red, interior clean and tidy no smells burns rips or bits missing, new steering rack, lots and lots of hours cleaning fixing repairing and replacing the wiring looms connections light fittings - they all work rear heated window and wipers electric windows clocks central locking big achievement for 30 years old, one key does all, (not petrol cap). welding we have just done: new outer near side cill, new near side inner wing, new front full cross member (good quality not cheap a one), one small patch on both foot wells - we could not see anywhere else there might have been welded in the past with exception to the battery tray which is all good. Car is solid and rust proofed there is no reason why it will not last another 30 years, All alloys refurbed new (new old stock) centre caps and good tyres alround two goodyear two p6000. The interior is in great condition nice seats great bright red strips. Just fitted very rare dark hard plastic dash so no cracks now or ever again i have the origional dash which can go with the car, also two full sets of seats all the same trim if wanted can go with the car, the best ones are fitted to the car.
bad bits: fuel gauage always reads full but the fuel light works so you never get caught out i have driven 25 miles on the fuel light and not ran out common fault i am told, sunroof does not open or close and does not leak been advised not to touch this, not to try and fix as can cause more touble than its worth with leaking etc..
To sum up its a great car with no corners cut, done with attention to detail and love of these old fords. Its great fun to drive and drives great i would have no problem going anywhere any distance in this car. You need to do nothing to this car just drive and enjoy. It wants to go to a fan some one who wants to show, love and store it for years to come.
Yes i will consider swops px with cash either way but please bear in mind my total spent including the origional cost of the car exceeds the asking price i did this not to make money but because i always wanted to. I am only selling due to space and real time to enjoy it - i will never get chance to go to shows and events in it. If i had a garage at my house it would be kept and enjoyed every summer.
