Hello and welcome to my auction for an ultra-rare Talbot Tagora SX V6.  The car is right hand drive and in very good condition, having been fully restored several years ago by a highly regarded Talbot owner’s club aficionado.

As you will notice from the photographs, I have been carrying out some revisions on his work.  When restored, the car had a silver stripe painted down each side, giving a typical Talbot two tone effect.  As the car was originally, solely ‘Blue Steel’ metallic, I have had one side painted as such.  The other side is due the same treatment but has just had a rust bubble cut out of the rear wheel arch and a dent removed from the front wing at a cost of over £400.00.  Therefore the driver’s side is still showing some of the silver stripe and grey primer.

Moving on, the exhaust has been repaired with both 2.2 Tagora and 2.6 Tagora parts due to scarcity.  If I was to keep the car I would bite the bullet and have a stainless steel one made up in full.  Also , at the time of the restoration a leather cloth style roof was fitted and there is a little bit of rust bubble underneath, again a job that I would tackle if I had time.  I would also tackle the headlining as I feel this to be past it's best.

I am reluctantly selling this rare car as I have several other vehicles in my collection and very little time to cope with them all.  I am a genuine enthusiast and have already sold my Sunbeam Lotus and Matra Murena so this is the next to go.

The car has a current MOT and tax and I have been driving her to work for the last two weeks without fail.  The only fault that I can detect is that the tickover is a little lumpy due to the carbs needing a fettle.  The car has recently had an oil change and filter, a new battery, rotor arm, distributor cap and full set of leads!  I believed to be the only roadworthy SX Tagora in the country.

All in all a good, roadworthy basis for a rolling improvement project.  It will make a very interesting and rare show car
