1990 ALFA ROMEO SPIDER 2.0 RED
A very rare and unique car in the UK. I have owned this car for nearly 2 years and used it for 2 summers, the previous owner was my father so I have been familiar with the car for over 10 years, during this time it has always been stored in a garage. In the time I have owned it a lot of work has taken place on it, the engine was swapped with another 1990 spider due to a failure of the original engine. The engine in car had done 73,000 at the point i bought it but from that point on i have had to estimate the mileage because the odometer does not always count. But all the other dials and lights all work, i have driven with a sat nav to compare the speedometer for accuracy and it is as close as any modern car.
This year the starter motor, battery, throttle cable, some hoses and the tyres have been replaced. The tyres are brand new on all 5 wheels ( the spare is a full size) and the 4 on the car have done less than 100 miles since being fitted. Interior wise, everything on the car is either original or an orginal alfa romeo part except from the stereo (it didn't come with a factory fitted one and i have the original blanking plate too) and a set of plugs has been fitted to the passenger foot well for phone chargers etc. Also the car has the original jack and the original handbook, the handbook being a very very rare english edition (a lot of the ones in the UK were either French, Italian or Spanish) this has proved a godsend when identifying which fuse blew on one occasion!
The hood was taken from the same car as the engine and fitted last year, it is in very good condition and is as watertight as i understand they would have been new! it spent most of it's life under a hard top on the other car and this has preserved it very well. The battery is located in the boot and i have fitted it with an isolator, this is because during long periods out of use the immobiliser drains the battery. It is fitted with a clifford immobilister. Also the car comes with an original leather tono.
I have a number of extra photos on Flickr, copy and paste this link to have a look:
