1992 VOLKSWAGEN TRANSPORTER ONE OF THE ORIGINAL T4's PROJECT SPARES REPAIRS VAN

VW Transporter T4

This advert is for my VW Transporter T4, it's a 1.9D in Cherry Red, 3 seater, manual.

It is one of the first years for the T4 and it has covered below average miles at 227k and only 4 owners, I have seen a couple of these models with over 400k.

The engine starts straight away hot or cold and is bullet proof. It does smoke for the first few seconds but it soon clears, the engine was running in all of the exterior pictures so as you can see no smoke. No dodgy noises, clutch is sound, gearbox is sound.

Although it is only a 1.9 non turbo it is still not bad speed wise and is good on fuel. I have towed a 2.4 lwb from Wales to Derby with no issues, and taken 2 motorbikes, 2 people, riding gear, toolbox, petrol washer and 200 litres of water no problem.

 I'am selling the van for spares or repair because it will need a new driveshaft (passenger side, rubber split) and lower ball joints for the MOT. I am including the ball joints so only the driveshaft to buy. Van can be driven away however MOT ran out on the 25th. I am including 2 full sets of standard wheels one set with vw centre caps as the front 2 alloys could do with tyres one is useable but one has worn through to the canvas. 

Interior is good for age however will need to be cleaned no wear holes in the seat, never been a builders van, used by the last 3 owners for motor bike racing. Sunroof fitted. Ply lined and insulated, wooden bulk head. Sony Ipod specific stereo that you can use to control your Ipod, with CD/MP3, 15" sub fitted with all wiring however I will be removing the amp.

Bodywork could do with a bottom half respray as the arches, and joint between the sill for the side sill where it meets the rear of the front door needs painting. These are common places where they go. I can get a bottom half spray for £350 if buyer is interested.
