5 SPEED MANUAL DIESEL
A4 1.9 TDI
Alarm, Anti-Lock Brakes (ABS)
Alloy Wheels, Catalytic Converter
This auction is for my Audi A4 TDi (Red eye - 110bhp).
The car failed it's last MOT and as I was in the process of buying a new car anyway I've decided to sell it as it is. The engine runs fine as has covered a lot less than the 158k that the car has on the clock. I have had this car since 2010 and have treated it very well and done a lot of miles in it.
When I bought the car in 2010 it had a major problem with the engine, I then spent nearly £1500 putting in a new engine which had only covered approx 70k. The car had 115k on it at the time and now has 159k so the engine has roughly 114k on it which is nothing for these diesels!
It's a good looking version of the A4 - it has nice "RS" bits on it, silver mirrors, 16 inch alloys (3 recent tyres), has the rear windows tinted (rear windscreen is bubbling). Lowered suspension (though one rear shock needs replacing). The bodywork is decent for it's age with no big dings in it but the paintwork has a few scrapes around the car
I have serviced it regularly and have a lot of history and paperwork, the last service was in April this year at 154k, it also had engine cleaners put through it.
It is currently off road and sorned in my garage in Swindon where it has been sat for a few months, the battery has now died so it won't start but there was nothing wrong with the running of the engine before the battery went. It may jump start but you will need to be prepared to tow or trailer the car away.
The interior is reasonable for a car of it's age with one small tear on the drivers seat where you get in and out all the time.
With a few hundred quid in parts and a bit of your time you could put this back on the road cheaply and it will run for another 80k easy!
Here's the list of failures on the MOT report:
1 - Windscreen Wiper Sticker needs to be removed (it's a Glastonbury parking sticker!)
2 - Offside stop light not working. (just needs a bulb)
3 - Front brake application uneven (think it just needs pads)
4 - Nearside rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated.
5 - Offside rear suspension arm rubber bush deteriorated.
6 - Nearside track rod end ball joint has excessive play.
7 - Nearside track rod end ball joint dust cover excessively deteriorated.
8 - Nearside rear shock absorber has a fluid leak.
9 - Brakes imbalanced across an axle.
10 - Nearside front suspension arm has slight play in a ball joint.
11 - Offside front suspension arm has slight play in a ball joint.
12 - Items removed from drivers view prior to test. (think this is the sticker again)
13 - Vehicles internal headlight adjuster altered to recheck lights (this is a dial on the dashboard, is working fine so not sure why an advisory)
14 - Wiper blades split
15 - Exhaust corroded
16 - Brake discs worn.
Cash on collection please. No tyre kickers, you win it, it's yours. Viewing available by appointment in the evenings.
