Welcome to this listing for my immaculate Lamborghini Diablo VT.
I have owned the Diablo for the last 6 years. As well as giving me huge pleasure driving and owning it the admiration and feedback it receives from virtually all other road users makes the whole ownership of a car such as this positive beyond words. The future owner of this car will never again be able to fill up at a petrol station in peace without someone asking questions or taking a photo on their iPhone !
In the first 4 years of ownership I used the car virtually every day as a 'daily driver' to travel to and from work. In the past couple of years though I have been using a more sensible means of daily transport with the Diablo being used only once every few weeks.
In early 2009 the car was converted to SV spec rear wheel drive. The gearbox was converted using Lamborghini parts and the propshaft, front differential and driveshafts were removed. This conversion not only removed the age old scare story of the VT front differential seizing up at speed, it also removed weight and drag hence releasing more power.
In late 2009, I was deliberating as to whether to change cars but decided against it in the end and went for a full re-vamp of the Diablo instead. The car was re-sprayed in pearlescent white (Lamborghini Balloon white), the 3-piece wheels were stripped and re-finished in satin black, a genuine SVR carbon fibre rear wing was added and various other updates were made. The car now looks truly stunning and is totally unique.
Why it's for sale ?
Sadly the Diablo has spent far too much time in my garage ever since it's makeover - It's only travelled appx. 2000 miles in the past 2 years and this is not enough. These cars need to be driven and i'm just not using it enough now to justify keeping it. Sadly, a new caring home is needed.

The above is by no means the entirety of what has been spent on this car - Various receipts are sadly missing from my ownership period for items such as the genuine Lamborghini SV carbon rear wing (appx. £8000), the GT engine cover and front bonnet, the front clear indicators, the full respray etc.
Negative aspects that need to be mentioned :
* The Diablo was recorded as Cat C on the HPI register in 2004. I have made previous contact with the owner from 2004 and just one front wing and the front bumper were damaged. Why it was classed as Cat C for such minor damage is not known.
* There are a few very minor paint blemishes (aluminium corrosion lifting the paint slightly) and a small (5mm) mark on the drivers door. These are normally only noticeable if pointed out but they do need mentioning. These areas could be quickly and easily corrected by a paint specialist.
* The air conditioning has not worked since my ownership - Most probably just needs re-gassing.
* The drivers door electric window - It goes up and down fine, but on the odd occasion needs a helping hand to go back up.
I also have the following spare parts for the car : 2 x brand new and un-used Pirelli rear tyres, The original rear engine lid cover (also painted in Balloon White), The original VT rear spoiler, 4 x original front fog lights, The VT front differential, the propshaft and 2 x front driveshafts to convert back to 4WD. These parts alone are worth well over £7000 second-hand but could be included in the sale if an agreeable price is reached.
I would like to retain my private number plate. Transfer fees for this will of course be paid by myself.
