I have had the OnBoard Diagnostics (OBD) checked today and can confirm that the car is running as per the workshop manual parameters with NO errors logged in the ECU.
I replaced the rear screen in March as the original was opaque and had developed a crack in the cold weather.
I am using this car as a daily driver so the mileage will continue to increase (slowly)!
Hi, this is the listing for my much beloved '99 916 Spider.
I have owned the car since July 2011. The Spider is my third Alfa
(previously owned a 145 Cloverleaf and a GT Blackline). You will be hard pushed to find a better example of a Phase 2 916 Spider, anywhere.
I am selling the car due to a need for a vehicle with rear seats and the capacity to carry luggage.
It is the Alfa Red with tan leather upholstery and the Lusso pack
(leather, power windows, CD multi-changer, a/c etc). The engine is the 2.0 twin
spark, which returns around 380-400 miles to the tank on mixed use.
The paintwork on the car is excellent for a car of this age. The car was completely
resprayed by the previous owner (2008).
There are a couple small dents on the car (RHS rear quarter, passenger door) and two tiny stone chips on the bonnet.
The engine / electrics / hood / suspension / running gear all
operate perfectly with no errors or malfunctions.
I have had the ECU checked with the Fiat ECUScan diagnostic software and all systems are running within the manufacturer parameters with no logged errors. If you have the OBD kit you are welcome to check the car yourself.
There are 2x keys (both red). (If you want the brown 'master key', these can be made at any locksmith - seriously).
The timing belts were changed in July 2010 at 56000 miles. They are next due in
July 2013 / 86000 miles.
