These cars have earned a reputation for bullet proof reliability, being re-bodied Mitsubishi Colts. The engine, gearbox and diff are all from Mitsubishi and the rest of the components are supplied form well known Japanese suppliers such as Nippondenso. This car has been completely reliable during the last 14000 or so miles we've owned the car, putting our Volvo to shame as we had to call the RAC out twice to get that going during the recent snow.
The good bits: The car has a long MOT and tax. The rear of the exhaust was changed last year. I've serviced the car myself since we have owned it (I'm an ex-mechanic) and you can have the spare oil filter and front brake pads I have with the car.The car is in very sound mechanical condition.
The rear seat folds down and will seat three, the middle belt is a lap belt.
The car has a Sony CD stereo fitted which has a removable fascia with remote control, the front door panels were changed to fit extra speakers. The stereo also has an "aux" socket which allows you to listen to your ipod.
We have also fitted seat covers as we found the original seats a bit boring, but they are in excellent condition, as you would expect with the mileage. There are also mats in all footwells.
The bad bits: The parcel shelf has lost its "pegs" so won't tilt properly when you open the hatch. There is a biggish dent in the nearside door, (see picture) which I was not able to top coat before the bad weather set in. There are a couple of light rust marks on the rear door, which have been rubbed down, de-rusted and primed, but again the weather prevented finishing the job.
Anyway, we're only selling because my new job comes with a car. If you have any questions, please ask, don't wonder. I'll get some more pictures if it ever stops raining.
Good luck bidding,
