1.4.1. Specifications of the tubes used:
Cold Drawn Seamless Unalloyed Carbon Steel, containing a maximum of 0.3%
Note: For an unalloyed carbon steel the maximum content of additives is
1.7% for manganese and 0.6% for other elements.

1.4.2. In selecting the steel, attention must be paid to obtaining good
elongation properties and adequate weldability.
1.4.3. The tubing must be bent by a cold working process and the
centreline bend radius must be at least three times the tube diameter. If the
tubing is ovalised during bending, the ratio of minor to major diameter must be
0.9 or greater.
All bends are produced on a market leading, numerically controlled,
rotary draw bender. The dies used to manipulate the tube are fully machined
which means that the quality of the bend is going to be higher than that of
cast dies. Cast dies leave more of an imprint on the inside of the tube than
those that are machined. To name a few rotary draw benders that use cast dies,
Ercolina and Tubela and the top two offenders therefore compromising on bend

Alternatively, if you let me know what material you want to bend along
with the bend angle and quantity, i.e. 1” Tube with a wall thickness of 1.5mm -
4 bends, I will let you know what the tightest possible centre line radius for
that specific tube is along with a price per bend. Alternatively you can let me
know the outside diameter of the tube you are looking to bend, the centre line
radius you want to achieve and the quantity you are looking for, i.e. 1” Box
Section, 3” centre line radius – 1 bend, I will let you know the minimum wall
thickness that the box section would need to bend successfully along with a
