2004 SKODA OCTAVIA AMBIENTE TDI DIESEL ~~ NO RESERVE ~~

Skoda Octavia Ambience 1.9 TDI

MOT till end of October 2012 and tax till end of this month. Car has got full service history with 5 stamps on service book. It has done only 100345 miles, have plenty of life in it. Tyres are in good condition, body work is in average condition with minor scratches and dints from years of use.

I bought this diesel car last July to commute to work at a client site which was at a distance. It served me very well during that time as it is very good on fuel. Now I am back at head office and don’t need this car any more. This car is sitting on my driveway since December and have probably driven 500 miles since then. Last weekend I had to call recovery due to flat battery. After jump starting the car it started showing amber steering light and amber ABS warning lights on dash. When I took it to the dealer, their computer says that rear right ABS sensor connection is intermittent and Basic settings of steering is lost due to flat battery. Although these warnings are not hampering any functions and you won’t find any difference in driving, I am selling this car as Spare or Repair and it is buyer’s responsibility to fully inspect the car before purchase.  According to the mechanic warning lights could be due to faulty connection, as the car was sitting for long time through winter. Also, due to lack of use interior smells bit damp and brake discs are also covered in rust.

I am not a technical person, trying to say, what I have been explained by the mechanic and what I can see myself. This car was well look after till November when I was using it regularly and mechanically it is excellent. I never had any issues with this car, it is only due to lack of use I am selling this car.

You are advised to carefully inspect the car before placing your bid.  Although I am selling this car with no reserve, I have advertised locally so could withdraw anytime before auction ends. Also, to let you know this car was never used as Taxi by me or any previous owner. I checked it specifically as there is lot of ex-taxis on used car market. RAC inspection is welcome, any test drive will be at your risk, please check whether you can only drive on your insurance policy.
