VAUXHALL CORSA C 1.7 CDTI Up for auction is my Corsa C 1.7 CDTI. The car is sold as SPARES OR REPAIRS. The car was taken for an MOT last week. It failed on a few items but all of these were done and it was Re-tested on 12/06/12. It was taxed on the 13/06/12 for 6 months. After I taxed the car I took it for a run. The car was switched off whilst we visited friends - but upon returning to the car it restarted but only ran on 3 cylinders. I have noticed that one of the glow plugs has been snapped previously and the wire clipped back on. Im now at the stage where I am NOT willing to spend any more money on fixing this car. It may be a simple fix - it may not - but truth be told I am sick of the thing now. Before the car went for an MOT it had part new handbrake cables and 4 new cv boots. The 2 inner cv boots were genuine Vauxhall items and cost £50 for the pair! The 16" softstar alloys have 195/45/16 tyres fitted of which 2 are brand new and were £90 the pair. The car is lowered 60mm on springs. There is a Genuine Irmscher spoiler fitted that has just been resprayed in Gloss Black. There is also a set of Irmscher mats fitted. As you can see the car looks very well but does have some damage to the front splitter as shown in the pictures. The rest of the car has dents etc associated with the age. The sideskirts and arches have been colour coded in the body colour. The milage on the car is 140,000 but at some point it has had new clocks and these indicate 82,000 miles. The drivers seat wont tilt forward. The CD player is NOT included! In my honest opinion the car is rough. Expect no more than that when you come for it and you wont be disappointed.
So to summarise: 12 Months MOT 6 Months TAX Wont run properly! One glow plug required.
It will be a good car for someone or a good source of bits. As said previously the car is strictly SPARES OR REPAIRS - I cannot emphasise this enough. Happy bidding! |
