This Dockrell 22 has twin bilge keels and a lifting centre keel, she will stand upright on a dry mooring. She draws less than two foot with the keel swung up, and more than four foot with the keel down
She has a 10hp Mariner engine inboard that has not been used since being fully serviced last year.
As well as a 'proper' toilet she has a small sink and drainer,a three ring gas hob as well as two folding mahogany dining tables.
The boat has been fully refurbished and antifouled.
I have owned this boat for five years and have installed the following kit:
GPS, autohelm, seawater toilet, roller reefing jib mechanism with a set of new Arun gib and main sails, Antal winches and jammers were installed so that control of all sheets is via the cockpit.
Other additions include a heavy duty battery, VHF radio, 4 speaker CD/Ipod music system, mahogany tables fitted in cabin and cockpit (on a removable stainless steel leg). The large CQR anchor was purchased this year. All sheets have been replaced with new.
She has room for five to sit down for a meal in the extra wide cabin and is capable of sleeping four, two in the cabin and two in the focsle. There is also a spring loaded transom for use as an alternative to the inboard engine position.
The boat has a factory fitted GRP spray hood which together with the tiller extension means you can steer the boat whilst being inside the cabin, out of the weather but looking through the GRP spray hood. Standing room at this position is nearly six foot.
Attached to the trailer is a frame to assist single handed lowering and raising of the mast.
She can be launched and retreived from a slipway for a total cost of typically £10. You can park the boat on the trailer without having to pay mooring fees.
To summarise, a fully prepared yacht, ready to be launched for the 2012 season, this has been my pride and joy and my reason for sale is that I have decided to move on in my retirement.
Don't miss this one, early viewing recommended, I can be contacted on 07553 405317.
