The Philips SPC880 was a bundled Camera supplied with some computer systems, that is internally the same as the very sort after SPC900NC. These cameras are no longer made and are getting very difficult to purchase. The SPC900NC is able to be internally altered to take long exposure pictures like that of an Expensive Digital SLR Camera, in a much smaller package (great for Telescope mounting). These SPC880 Cameras have been Flashed and upgraded to be a SPC900NC and will run on Vista and Windows 7, as well as Windows 98, 2000 and XP. This included firmware upgrade also provides better image quality and low light performance with less image noise.

These Webcams take Great Astro shots as you can see by looking on the Internet. They use a CCD image sensor rather that a CMOS sensor used in just about all Webcams now avaliable. The CCD sensor is made by Sony and is high quality and has fantastic low light sensitivity.

Low light Sensitivity and Quality electronics make these a sort after item for planetary and deep space photography.

Camera is supplied as a Brand New item never used. However please be aware that the item has been opened to add and remove components needed to modify the Camera, and run to test it's function. Only quality components and used for reliability. Camera cable entry points are all through rubber guides to prevent cable cutting. Astro Photograpy is a complex hobby and not all aspects of it are detailed in my instructions. I have tried to supply the basics needed to get fast results and a shorter learning curve. I spent many hours myself when learning on very simple problems that I could have saved if I had this kind of information avaliable to me. Please Note my Telescope is not included in this Auction. And I am always happy to assist via E-Mail.
