Up for sale with NO RESERVE is my 2002 Alfa Romeo 156 GTA in Borell Green.

I have owned the car four years after purchasing it in 2008. It is double the length I have kept any other car for, and has become a part of me over that time. I am only selling due to a change in circumstances. I had planned on keeping this car for good.

If you know these cars, then you will appreciate the following:

The car has a gearbox rebuild and Q2 differential fitted @100k 

A Metal water pump was fitted when the Cambelt was changed in October 2008 (78k)

The car was subject to a recall, and the larger 330 brakes were fitted.

Maintenance is key with these cars. This one might have 105k on the clock, but don't let that put you off. Just about everything has been replaced in the last few years! I have nursed it through it's mid life crisis. All work has been carried out by Autolusso Bournemouth, with receipts to prove.

Over the last 18 Months it has had upper and lower wishbones, power-flex Anti Roll Bar Bushes, Upper and lower engine mounts, new alternator, new battery and the gearbox rebuild mentioned above. Before that, it had new radiator, new upper wishbones, new manifold and gaskets. You get the idea, it's been looked after.

The interior is the original Tan/black full leather with seat heating all in excellent condition. The car retains its factory steering wheel and gear knob which are both in good condition. The high sided bucket seat bolsters are also still in good condition, showing minimal wear. The car has the upgraded BOSE sound system installed.

All 4 wheels are in great condition, having recently been refurbished. This car was originally fitted with the larger multispoke wheels shown in some of the pictures, but I swapped them for the Teledials shown in the other pictures. Michelin PS3 tires are fitted all round. The rears are almost new, the fronts do need replacing. 

The car externally has suffered a little from it's 10 years on the road, and I have always wanted the front end tidied up during my ownership, but something more important has needed the money (such as the gearbox). The front wing is rusting slightly, and does need repairing. I have had a quote of £400 to tidy the front end up, but have always spent the money mechanically rather than cosmetically. It is missing one jacking point cover currently :( Underneath the car is in excellent condition, with no rust.

The car has a private plate fitted, which will be included with the sale. MOT isn't due until April 2013, and it is taxed until End of Sept.

To sum up, This GTA is a very well looked after, mechanically sound car that I have loved for the last 4 years. It's not perfect, but I am pretty confident that there will be no surprises for the new owner. Laurence at Autolusso Bournemouth knows the car well should you require a 3rd parties opinion.
