Wedo LX Wick < click image to enlarge 5 metre length Wedo LX multi purpose candlewick Wedo's LX wick is a very thin flatwick that curls into the flame to produce a self trimming effect. Effective in both paraffin and natural wax but when used in natural wax it is common that you have to use a lot larger size than you would in paraffin wax. Large amounts of scent in a candle can affect the performance of the Wedo LX wick. Candle and wick sizes are based on plain unscented/coloured paraffin candle. When adding colour/fragrance it is common to have to go bigger as these things affect the wick. Be prepared to do some test wicking before you get it right. To make a candle for test wicking, no need to do a full pour as you are testing the burn on the width. everything can be melted back down for future use. Choosing a wick size can be a tricky business, especially as it is partly trial and error depending on wax, amount of colouring and scent etc. The size of wick you require is governed by the width of candle you want to make. You are trying to achieve a wax pool the whole width of the candle. The length is not as important especially when buying by the metre as it can be cut to length. So measure the width of your container or mould and this will be the size of the wick you want. There are great savings to be made by paying for all of your items with one payment, so even if you pay before a new invoice is sent, any extra can be refunded. You're item will be despatched within 2 working days of cleared payment, by first class post where weight allows, otherwise by parcel post or courier. All "courier" prices stated are for mainland UK only. For Scottish Highlands,Northern Ireland,Channel Islands etc heavy items will only be sent by courier if buyer wishes but at an additional cost to standard UK courier price. The additional cost to these destinations are set by the courier companys and not by myself. Otherwise, heavy items to these destinations can be sent by First Class Mail or Standard Parcels.
