Do you want a guitar that will fire out the hottest licks and the biggest, loudest chords?
Do you want it to be pre-owned by one careful, loving owner?
Do you want it to have 5-star reviews from various guitar magazines and websites?
Well look no further!
I am selling my beloved Dean Dime-O-Flame ML. I received this guitar as a present when I was 15 and absolutely adore it. However, I feel as though I'm not able to give it the time and attention I would like to, and I now feel as if it's time for someone else to enjoy this guitar as much as I have.
This guitar is at the high-end of a range of signature guitars by the late Pantera and Damageplan guitarist, Dimebag Darrell. As one of the top of the range MLs, this guitar has received overwhelmingly good reviews across the guitar-playing community.
This deluxe model boasts a full mahogany neck and body, with the neck set deep into the body instead of being bolted on, allowing it to produce one of the loudest and thickest tones of any guitar on the market today.
This particular ML utilises two high-output humbucker pickups. The secret to the ML's searing tone is the bridge pickup - A Seymour Duncan SH-13 Dimebucker. It is a high-gain, high output pickup. This is what helps it achieve that trademark tone. It is also a fuzz-reducing pickup which cuts out the horrible humming noise other guitars may produce through an amp. It has been highly rated as one of the best high-gain pickups around.
It also has the benefit of having a Floyd Rose-licensed bridge. This locking bridge helps the Dean hold pitch and stay in tune no matter how hard you play it.
This guitar is perfect for those who like to rock, and it doesn't hold back with it's full on tone! However it deals very capably with other styles aside from metal/rock, and is actually extremely versatile. It plays fast and smooth, and is of exceptionally high build-quality. It is also an extremely reliable guitar that has not once gone wrong. The original hardware is of the highest quality and reliability, which is of extreme importance when buying a guitar. It is in exceptionally good condition and has been well looked after. It is cleaned frequently and the fretboard is treated to keep it in great condition and playing smooth.
I will also be including a high-quality, hard-case lined with the softest possible material to ensure that the guitar is undamaged should it be transported. This is essential for a high-value guitar and will be included at no extra cost.
The Dean has a few minor scuff marks on the headstock, as well as the edges of the two lower points. They aren't at all significant, and obviously do not affect the performance, but this is the standard cosmetic wear you would expect when buying a second-hand guitar. Because the body is so long and pointy, it's almost inevitable that it is going to get into contact with a wall or amp at some point. I have done my best to treat/cover these, but obviously I must advise you that they are there.
The guitar currently does not have a tremolo arm (whammy bar). If requested, I will fit a brand new arm to it for no extra charge.
I can supply more pictures upon request.
I am based just outside Edinburgh, and would offer free pick-up if you wanted to collect the guitar in person
Alternatively, I can send it through a reliable 'guitar-friendly' courier such as Interparcel - If requested I will get a quote for this. It will be packed tightly in the hard case to prevent any damage in transit. P&P cost will allow for the weight of the guitar as well as the heavy hard case.
