Return policy details
I want you to be pleased with what you buy - in fact, I want you to be delighted with it, to tell all your friends how great I am and then come back for more. If it's "Just Not For You". If you decide you don't want the item - for any reason - in the first week then no problem. Tell me by email (first), return the item in a sale-able condition and I'll refund the purchase cost with no quibbles or questions. Your only cost would be the initial P&P cost and the P&P cost of returning your item to me. (So hang on to the packaging for a week, just in case)
If it's "Lost, Damaged or Destroyed in Transit" I pack my items so as to try and avoid this, but if it does happen it will be dealt with like this. Lost or Destroyed Items If an item is lost or destroyed in transit then I can claim the purchase cost from the Royal Mail either by using the proof of posting certificate or by claiming on the insurance for a signed-for item. In either case I will refund your Purchase Price.
Damaged Items If you and I think the item is "repairable" I will ask you to return the item to me at your cost. I will repair it for you free of charge and then send the item to you at my cost. I would probably ask you to send me some pictures so that I can see the same thing as you. By "repairable" here I mean - An item is repairable if I can repair it in a reasonable length of time using reasonable commercial efforts so that the repair would only be apparent to a close inspection. Once I have started to repair an item it will not be possible to make a claim from the Royal Mail or other carrier. It probably wouldn't be possible to repair an unassembled model or a Gaming Accessory (like a template or a tape measure) to a good standard if it gets broken in transit, so while repair is still an option in these circumstances it's not as likely. So, if your item arrives damaged at all your first step is to tell me by email. Do this straightaway please.
All of this is in addition to the normal rights you have as a consumer when you buy things in the UK from a trader or a business. None of my Terms & Conditions are meant to replace or change these rights. (In brief these rights mean you can expect the things you buy, from me or any other trader, to be "Fit for purpose, are As described and last a Reasonable length of Time") Legally you also have additional rights, as a UK buyer, if this is a Buy It Now transaction. In practice I've decided to offer the rights UK buyers have under the Distance Selling Regulation to international customers and on auction as well as BIN transactions.
