3 CLEARBLUE + PLUS PREGNANCY TESTS - 7 SIGNS OF CERTAINTY!!
Whether you are trying to get pregnant or trying to keep from getting pregnant, when you miss your period you want to know immediately if you are pregnant or not. Clearblue are the market leaders and these tests are fast, accurate (greater than 99%), reliable and an easy alternative when you require immediate discreet results in the privacy of your own home. This innovative design from the Clearblue range provides women with confirmation and reassurance when testing for pregnancy. This is because the Clearblue Plus Pregnancy Test has an Absorbent Sampler that changes colour from white to pink, in order to show that urine is being absorbed. It shows a clear '+' for pregnant and a '-' for non pregnant:
7 Signs of Certainty:
1. Accurate - over 99% accurate from the day your period is due.
2. Sensitive - designed to be a high sensitivity test.
3. Early - can be used 4 days before your period is due, as it is so sensitive it can usually detect the hormone level in early pregnancy.
4. Easy to use - the Colour Change TIP and the control window show the test is working.
5. Fast - results in just 2 minutes.
6. Clear - clear + and - results.
7. Doctor recommended - most importantly, Clearblue is the brand most recommended by doctors.
These tests are direct from the manufacturer and as such are brand new in box (BNIB) and have an expiry date of at least 12 months. There are 3 tests in this pack but we also have listings for a 1 pack and a 2 pack :)
How does a home pregnancy test work?
A home pregnancy test measures the presence of the hormone Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin (HCG) in your urine. HCG is produced in the placenta shortly after the embryo attaches to the uterine lining. This hormone then builds up rapidly in your body in the first few days following implantation. Usually HCG can be detected by a home pregnancy test 7-10 days after conception and the further in to the pregnancy you are the higher the levels of HCG in your urine.
How accurate are these tests?
These tests have proved greater than 99% accurate in laboratory and consumer studies.
When should I do the test?
Tests can be taken at any time of the day. However, we do recommend that you test first thing in the morning when your urine is most concentrated. Do not drink large amounts of fluid in an attempt to increase the volume of urine as this may dilute the urine making HCG more difficult to detect.
How long will it take before I can read the result?
You can read the results after just 3 minutes.
What is the difference between home tests and those done by a doctor?
Many doctors and clinics use home pregnancy tests to verify the results, in which case they are exactly the same. Occasionally, some women may be given a blood test, but they aren't very different from home pregnancy tests either. Both types look for the presence of HCG in your body.
What should I do with my results?
If your pregnancy test results are positive, you should consult your doctor to discuss your pregnancy and what steps and precautions should be taken next. In addition, if your test is negative and you still suspect you may be pregnant, you may want to confirm your test results with another home pregnancy test a few days later. If you test too early you may get a negative result because not enough of the HCG hormone has built up in your system.
Can anything affect the results of these tests?
Drinking alcohol, painkillers, oral contraceptives, antibiotics and other common drugs will not affect the result of these tests. Only medicines that contain HCG can produce a false positive result. If you are unsure about your result or your period has still not arrived you should see your doctor for advice.
