I can only tell you my experience of this small item and realise it may not be the same for everybody. However, I bought this for my Samsung S4 Mini. Primarily to use the sat nav app in the car. The item seems robust and the magnet is certainly strong. There is a small rubber centre piece which I found slips out the recess when you sometimes remove your phone from the holder. So you may need to adhere it in place. If you do this though, adhesive has to be placed around the internal rim. If adhesive finds its way anywhere else, you may stick the rotation. When the phone was placed onto the magnetic holder, the screen went black and the phone was inoperable. Not ideal when you want to look at the sat nav map. I tried several times, but the result was the same. So, I contacted the buyer and the response I got was that he had no problems and seemed happy to leave the matter there. As I result, I have given the holder to a friend who has a different use for it than I had and have purchased a windscreen suction holder instead for my phone. Now, this may be a rare experience or a common one, with this particular item. I cannot say. It is however, my experience. Only works if there is no cover on phone. I have a silicone cover to protect mine so it didn’t work. No good if you have to take the cover on and off to use it
