Undercover Mens Hooded Jacket. Jun Takahashi Undercoverism®
Undercover track Jacket, size 3. The jacket is from Undercover's But Beautiful II collection. Styled on a retro track top with hood, but as I recall he was influenced by surrealist Czech filmmaker Jan Švankmajer for the But Beautiful line which is revealing in the imagery used. Interesting design detailing on the internal pockets, micro-waffle interior (3rd photo). In Japan the male line is called Undercoverism® with Under Cover® being for females. The west US/Europe uses a monolithic brand with Undercover Co.,Ltd for both male and female lines. Condition 8.5/10 (bobbling of material on the cuffs/elasticated bottom, note: the colours are more vibrant in real life).

pit-to-pit (chest) = 55cm
shoulders = 46.5cm
length (base of collar to bottom) = 66cm
sleeve (outside arm) = 65cm

Jun Takahashi is one of the most important Japanese fashion designers today. His brand UNDERCOVER has been introducing his intimate creativity for 20 years and is the epitome of Japanese cool and features finely crafted clothing pieces which are, in the words of Takahashi himself, "strange, but beautiful". Undercover has won numerous awards (inc., Mainichi Shinbun) and been lauded by other fashion designers including Miuccia Prada and Rei Kawakubo.
