Alongside my bespoke customer electric mandolins, I usually have a number of speculative builds in progress and this is the latest Almuse offering.

This 5 string was inspired by Keith Richards Fender Telecaster Deluxe and features -

Body - American white ash 38mm thick finished in Black with nitrocellulose lacquer.

Neck - North American maple. Corian nut 34mm wide, 20mm deep at nut, 22mm at 12th fret. Single action truss rod (adjusted at body end). set in from back with rosewood skunk stripe. Comfortable rounded D profile.

Tuners - High quality 14:1 mini die-cast Jin-Ho  (similar quality and design as Grovers and used by many quality guitar manufacturers).

Bridge - Dedicated laser cut stainless steel with after-market Strat saddles - 11mm spacing.

Electronics - Neck pickup - Almuse Wolfbucker 7.85kOhms and bridge pickup - Wolfbucker 9.40kOhms. 3 position switch with volume and tone controls for each pickup.

The Wolfbuckers are a new addition to the Almuse pickup range giving moderate output with a nice clear Fender-ish "twang".

Fretwork has been levelled and dressed - action and intonation set with C string 2mm at 12th fret and E string 1mm.

 

Altogether, a fun little e-mando to suit most styles of playing - the extra C string bringing the range down to that of a tenor mandola.......happy bidding!
