LDV 200 Pilot - 54 plate (late 2004)
These vans are a superb piece of british manurfacturing, they've been making these vans since the 1970's under the Sherpa name.
As you may of spotted, this is an Ex Royal Mail Van, which is good news, as the Royal Mail maticulasly service these vhiecals.
Its got a 1.9 Diesal non-turbo engine (better economy... less to go wrong) engine.
Its got 6 seats, 3 including the driver up the the front then another 3 behind... all with seatbelts. (not in the picture, I had removed them to fit all my car boot gear in, but I will re-install them before auction end.
I understand it spent most of its life in the Midlands, so away from salt air.
Its got an impressive service history, loads of stamps and tests right up to 50,000 miles.
Pleeeeenty of reciepts and paper work with it, really good history with the van.
I've got all the manuals and workshop guides on a DVD that I will include too.
Service log and handbook present too.
Its current millage is about 51,000, so VERY low miles!
Naturally, its got power steering, and its a very economical van too.
Low emission and LEZ complient (avioding the £200 per day London charge!)
Good clutch, great turning circle too I noticed, easy to menouvre.
2 sets of keys. Immobilizer.
Only 2 Former keepers, 1st being Royal Mail, 2nd being an older gentleman who lived in a small village in Wales who sold it because he got authritus and struggled to get in and out of it.... how precise!
It also has remote central locking, however, I understand Royal Mail disconnected it (as there was mainly only one driver, and it was for security) I have reconnected the central locking on the passangers side and it works great.... I got sick of leaning over to let my partner in the other side! so it should be easy enough to re-connect up again.
Body wise, its got dents on both sides from its postie days, but its certinatly not a rot box like some others ive seen on ebay.
The doors may need re-adjusting (just two bolts on each door) they work fine, its just theres a bit of wind noise at high speeds. Also, on door may need a slight weld if you can be bothered, its just got a slight crack in a centre metre long.... it works fine, and has never bothered me.
Rear bumper has a crack in and rear step is bent.... more things from its postie days!
Had new brakes pads and discs on 13/05/2011 (only done about 1500 miles since)
New front brake pipes
New exhause rear section
All tyres are good all round.
OT'd - 18 May 2013
TAX - 31/12/12
2550Kg Gross Weight
Had a new starter motor installed recently, the other was getting a bit lazy, so it starts superbly now!
Selling it as I'm stopping doing car boot sales this season, so I will have no use for it. Its been a great daily drive, but I can't justify keeping it really.
Its a very 'happy van', its a basic ride, but loads of fun, it'll be a real shame to see her go.
The van is for sale at £1899.00 or very nearest offer. (No VAT to add)
If you purchase the van, I will require a £100 deposit via paypal, the remainder cash on collection.
I'm very proud of my 100% positive feedback, so please don't waste my time bidding/buying if you don't intend to pay. If you win the auction, you will liable to pay the full amount and you own the car. If you want to see it before you bid which is probably a good idea, thats absolutely fine, please contact me before hand.
