5V 30mA solar cells


This solar cells are excellent for home projects, robotics, solar flashlights, garden lightning, remote measuring stations etc. Photovoltaic material is protected with epoxy resin which makes them very rigid and can withstand weather conditions, minor impacts and water as long as connections on the back are well isolated. With their 5V you can charge 3x 1.2V rechargeable batteries but it is recommended that you connect couple in parallel to make charging go faster. With 30mA per piece they can sustain low power devices for years if they are on the sunny side and connected to a high quality battery.

Please note that to charge a battery you have to connect a schottky diode between them and the battery otherwise battery will discharge through the solar cell when sun goes down.
