I was expecting a book containing an alternative insight in to the greatest GC rider of his era and one of the greatest of all time, Lance Armstrong. Instead I recall reading about a writer fixated with indulgent verbosity and who plainly had researched the minutiae of top 50 rider placings, rather than delving in to the racers mindset and team methodology. Matt Rendell should definitely stick to tabloids and periodicals and leave books to writers who know how to develop an interesting read. Unless of course you just want facts ...... in which case like MR you can research those yourself.
