OMP also supply a large
range of roll cage and roll bar accessories including extra door bars,
cross bars, fixing brackets, roll bar covers and bar padding.
All OMP roll cages are
supplied in raw metal ready to be primed and sprayed any colour. They
include fixing brackets for the roll bar legs that need to be welded
into the chassis floor, but don't include any bolts. Some roll cage
fitters prefer to make their own fitting brackets to give a more
roll cages should be professionally installed as they are crucial safety
equipment. OMP design and manufacture their roll cages to comply with
FIA, ONS, RCA or MSA regulations. If the vehicle is used in motorsport then the roll
cage needs to comply to the appropriate regulations and rules. It is
your responsibility to ensure that your vehicle meets the necessary
regulations for your type of motorsport. If your vehicle has a standard
glass sunroof then it will need to be removed or replaced with solid
material to be approved for race use.
Although OMP roll cages
are designed for racing cars, many people choose to fit them to standard
road going cars. Please be aware that to fit a cage, much of the
interior will need to be removed and possibly modified in some way. Most
roll cages will require the permanent removal of the rear seats. Some
roll cages actually penetrate the dashboard so please check carefully
the specification of the roll cage before purchase. We would advise that
you have your roll cage professionally fitted by an experienced fitter.
