RML 2613 - NML613E
A Brief History
This bus was in continuous service in London from 1967 to 2004 working from various garages and ending up on route 12 from Camberwell Garage for London Central Buses. Along with many other Routemasters that were taken out of service at that time it was offered for auction by Ensign Buses and bought by one of the members of what would later become the "RML 2613 Group". He, along with four others, formed the group in August 2009 with the intention of restoring the bus from it's "out of service" condition to how it would have looked in the late 1970's. This was completed in June 2012 and the bus has since been a regualr attendee at the Cobham, North Weald and Duxford Bus Rallies, as well as doing a few outings for friends and families of the owners. All of the mechanical and body work that has been carried out on the bus has been done by qualified mechanics and fitters that worked for London Transport at the time the buses were in service. This bus is ready for rallying or with a Class 6 MOT would make a great service bus.
This is a private sale by the five current owners, viewing is strictly by appointment please as the vehicle is kept in a private yard. Contact either Tony on 07769786958 or Richard on 07734 543194 to arrange a viewing or for any further information. The vehicle is located in North Hertfordshire. It will be sold "as seen and described", to the best of my knowledge everything in this listing is correct. Payment terms to be mutually agreed at time of sale.
I am more than happy to answer any questions you may have, there may be a small delay in getting back to you as I may need to consult with the other members of the group as they know far more about the bus than I do!
