Great CPU for legacy WinXP builds based upon AM2 socket motherboards. Easy to install (just have to be careful not to bend any of the pins, they are a nightmare to straighten again!) and runs anything but modern games fast. For some reason my PC picks up the clock speed as 2.8ghz rather than 2.9 but it isn't a huge deal. It also runs a lot cooler than its big brother than 6000+ although as it's a late 2000's AMD CPU expect the average temps to be higher than Intel's equivalents. Idling between 30 and 40 is normal and anything up to 60-65 under stress is considered acceptable. Overall great little CPU for legacy builds!
