THIS DELIGHTFUL, HIGHLY COLLECTABLE AND RARE ANTIQUE COALPORT PLATE MADE AROUND 1840 HAS NO CHIPS AND NO CRACKS AND NO RESTORATION. THERE ARE THE USUAL FRITTING AND SURFACE PRODUCTION MARKS OF THE PERIOD AND A FEW VERY MINOR SIGNS OF USE. . THE GILDING IS ALL EXCELLENT.
THIS PLATE WAS MADE AROUND 1840 AND TEASET PIECES IN THE IDENTICAL STYLE BUT DIFFERENT PATTERN CAN BE SEEN IN GODDEN'S "COALPORT AND COALBROOKDALE PORCELAINS" ON PAGE 265. HE COMMENTS "NOTE THE MOULDING FAINTLY SHOWING ON THE BREAD AND BUTTER PLATE" - THIS MOULDING IS ALSO VISIBLE ON THIS PIECE.
AT THE TIME OF LISTING I AM ALSO SELLING THE MATCHING TEASET SIMILAR TO THE ONE ON PAGE 265 THAT COMES WITH A TEAPOT INCLUDED.
THIS PLATE MEASURES 21CMS IN DIAMETER. IT IS UNMARKED.

All our items are packaged to a very high standard using re-cycled polystyrene chips and bubble wrap to protect from damage. We normally use brand new cardboard boxes but where we have a suitable used box we will re-cycle it. Our postage charges include the cost of the packaging materials.
Our parcels are currently collected by Royal Mail every Tuesday and Friday and we aim to despatch all items where payment has cleared by the night before. We always get a certificate of posting - for items that fail to arrive or that are damaged in transit we will assist in making a compensation claim against Royal Mail (please look at the Royal Mail web site for details on maximum compensation paid). We will use Royal Mail Special Delivery if requested by you at time of purchase, there will be an additional charge. For overseas buyers please contact us to confirm postage arrangements and charges.
