Thanks for taking the time to look at my auction for our spacious family caravan.
The Spectrum 620 is a large family caravan with an excellent layout including the option to close off the rear 4 bunks (or double + 2 bunks) with a sliding wooden partition... perfect for locking away the kids at night... This image is the closest I can find with the only real difference being that the 'L' shaped seating is reversed and the chest is on the other side next to the kitchen... I'm sure you can work it out better from the pictures!
This is a 'LARGE' family caravan as you can see from the table below, but the benefits of that are of course lots of space and comfort. You will need a reasonably large car to tow this van, I have used over the past 3 years a Nissan Terrano, BMW 5 series Diesel and currently a Mondeo TDci estate... All have towed without problems although the Mondeo is a little lightweight really.
At the time of sale this was Abbey's 'Flagship' model and accordingly all 'mod-cons' are included... I will try and list them all....
6 Berth Family layout. ( Kingsize double at front, double + 2 bunks over or 4 bunks in separate rear bedroom separated by sliding door)
4 Burner gas cooker plus grill and oven.
Truma Fan Assisted and Thermostatically controlled Central Heating ( Gas or Electric )
Combined 3 Way Fridge/Freezer, Gas, 240v or 12v Supply
Shower/Washroom incorporating Electric flush cassette toilet.
3 Rooflights with 1 over kitchen area incorporating 3 speed extractor fan.
Underfloor freshwater tank with electric pump holds approx 50litres of freshwater.. less trips to the tap and less prone to freezing!
Hot and Cold water throughout with water heated either by gas or 240v electrics.
Double Glazing throughout.
Blackout blinds and flyscreens to all windows and entrance door. Curtains to all windows.
Externally accessed side locker with electric point (inside awning, great for an extra heater on cold nights in the awning)
Large wardrobe with hanging rail.
Too many to count overhead storage cupboards and underbunk storage areas.
Numerous electric points.
Status TV aerial
External awning/step light
Spare wheel in front locker.
Fully fitted carpets.
Half full gas bottle
Electric hook up cable
Freshwater and wastewater containers included and even a pair of towing mirrors!
Its a very practical, comfortable place to be and to improve matters even more... and DOUBLE the living space the 2 year old awning shown in the pictures is INCLUDED. We have used this awning in howling gales, snow, torrential rain and even occasionally in the sun and its has never leaked or caused problems. All of the zips work perfectly and its easy to open sides for ventilation etc.. Its a big awning so takes about an hour and a half to put up/peg down but its worth it!
Every item listed works as it should, although I realise now we have never used the TV aerial as we usually plug in on site or use a portable satellite system. Guess may now be worthless as everywhere going digital? Beyond me to work that one out!
The running gear is all good with all electrics working and brakes/bearings etc serviced 2 years ago-probably only covered about 1000 miles since then.
Viewing is strongly recommended so you know what you are getting. The 'van' is in secure storage near to our home so any viewings will have to be planned at least 24 hours ahead. Viewing is in Cheshire, not far from Junction 20 of the M6
The bad bits.... there have to be some its 12 years old!! The interior is in generally very good condition but there are small marks to some of the surfaces, only very minor. There are also some marks externally where awning poles have caught against the side and the offside rear awning rail is pulled away a little where it has caught on something(before we bought) This awning rail is not normally in use so have not needed to get fixed. The centre front window has some damage to 1 corner, as its double glazed it is still weatherproof but does mist up a little in cold weather, replacements are still available but again its not bad enough to be an immediate need to do. 1 of the blind clips is broken at the front, blind does stay down but its a bit 'lopsided' for want of a better phrase.
I cant think of anything else at the minute and these items are only mentioned for honesty, its in very good condition for a 12 year old caravan and
is ready to use this summer.
Will consider assistance with delivery to your home or storage area up to 50 miles for cost of diesel. Can leave in storage till Easter providing has been paid for in full.
Ready to go with all you need... just add your own bedding and towels! oh and a car to tow it with!!
Please remember that you are bidding to BUY not to haggle afterwards... You are more than welcome to come and look and ask as many questions as you like but please do this before the auction ends.
A paypal deposit of £200 payable within 24 hours of auction end with balance in cash on collection.
