Indoors at low to moderate volumes less than 100 feet this product works quite well. Over 100 feet and you may experience fading and occasionally cutting out. Over 150 feet requires direct line of sight and antennas MUST be pointed at each other. If you are playing LOUD music you will experience fading in and out from time to time. If you need to move a speaker, aim it a different direction, you may experience the sound cutting in and out for a moment. If you are transmitting through walls, the range is not the best. 25-50 feet MAXIMUM through cinder block walls. Concrete walls is about the same, through metal walls will depend on the building. You WILL have issues if you are transmitting outdoors, it requires the microphone to be pointed at the transmitter. Even transmitting through glass you still will need to have the receiver antenna pointed at the transmitter. Be advised you will occasionally run into interference, which is why there are 16 channels to choose from. When you change the channel on the speakers, you will experience a loud white noise for a moment (turn the speaker volume down when you change channels) 2 ways to mount these on speakers. 1 - You can set the receiver on top of the speaker 2 - Use INDUSTRIAL Velcro to mount the reciever on the back or side of the speaker. I recommend using Velcro mounting, have a spot on the top of the speaker, back and by the handles on either side. This gives you a lot of options on where to place the transmitter. The Velcro makes sure that the receiver maintains line of sight and doesn't get bumped off.Read full review

This is just simply amazing! I was worried and skeptical about the quality of the music. By using this "wireless" system! I hooked everything up quickly and with ease. Unfortunately I run a very high end set of speakers. So I actually couldn't use the type of XLR's that were included. I spent $45 bucks on the sets of XLR's that I needed. When everything was said and done I was amazed at the sound quality and convenience of this product! This is a must have for any mobile DJ!

Once I figured out the best channel selection they worked great. I haven't used them at a gig yet, but based on my experience so far I'm pretty sure they will perform well. Not having to run cords everywhere really make this system attractive to me. It would have been cool if they had pass through connections for wired speakers, but luckily I can use my booth outputs for that.

This system is very easy to set-up and compatible with most powered system. I used with an Alto and Seismic Audio powered speakers. Set-up was a snap and selecting channels with no interference is very easy. I am contemplating an extension pack from the same seller.

I have been using the Alto Wireless System for 5 years now and have very little problems with it. It saves me a lot of time setting up speakers at the back of the room and my front monitors. I get dropout problems depending on the venue when I don't know if there are mechanical or electrical interferences going on, but I expect that to happen in any wireless system so I'm always ready to hardwire my speakers when that happens. I highly recommend the product even though my fellow musicians think it still costs too much.
