Shipping And Handling
Postage and Packaging for delivery is charged at as near to the actual cost for ourselves as possible. We do not aim to profiteer from postage, and try to keep these costs to a minimum, however sending out 2.5m lengths of trim is not inexpensive, as only a certain number of couriers will take this length of package. We do not post Second Class. All packages sent from Trimtraders are sent via a 'Signed For' service via courier. Smaller items may be sent via Royal Mail, but this will still require a signature on delivery. This is for insurance purposes for both ourselves and our customers. We use various courier services for our customers in the UK , in order to get the best combination of service and value for money for our customers.
It is your responsibility to ensure that someone is available to sign for the package once we have sent the item. If any item is returned to us due to non delivery, we will require a further payment for redelivery, or will charge a 15% restocking fee to cover our costs if returned.
The courier will attempt to deliver your goods 3 times, and will leave a 'while you were out' card if unsuccessful. After 3 attempts your item/s will be returned to us. A re-delivery charge will apply if you still require the goods
Payment can be made instantly through Paypal after winning the item/s, or by credit/debit card over the phone by ringing 0800 5677839. You may also pay by cash, cheque or debit card if you are calling to collect in person. All cheques must be accompanied with a valid bank card.
Lost or Damaged Goods
If your goods have not arrived within 3 days of the delivery confirmation email (for International orders , please allow up to 28 days), please email or telephone to let us know. We will require a confirmation email from yourselves regarding the lost items before we can enter into the refund or replacement procedure. Goods sent via Royal Mail can take up to 15 days before deemed lost, so please allow a little longer for this service
The trims we sell are made in 2.5m lengths and are therefore more susceptible to damage in transit, mainly from bending by careless courier drivers. Trimtraders has refined the packaging of these goods in order to almost eliminate this type of damage, however this can sometimes occur.
Therefore please check your goods when delivered before signing for the items.
All damaged goods must be reported on delivery. Goods must be signed for as damaged if this is the case.
Failure to sign the goods as damaged will result in any claims being void after the driver has left!
You agree that proof of delivery supplied by our delivery company is sufficient evidence to establish that goods have been received.
