Where possible we will offer more than 1 delivery service (i.e 2nd class post / 1st class post) for each item. This allows you to decide how you would like us to ship your item. To view the service options for each item, click on the "More Services" link located towards the top of the page, just below where it says "Postage Costs". If you would like to know when to expect your item, please see the section below entitled "Delivery Services & Times".
If you would like to purchase more than 1 different item or more than 2 of the same item, please add all items needed to your basked and request an invoice, we can then send a revised costing for postage.
We are a stockholder of Aluminium, Brass, Stainless Steel & Engineering Plastics. We stock a huge range of Aluminium Flat; Round & Square Bar; Equal & Unequal Angles; Channels; Round, Square & Rectangular Tubes; Chequer Plate; Sheet & Plate. We carry smaller stocks of Brass, Stainless & Plastics, but through our extensive supplier network we can obtain most items within a couple of days.
Delivery Services & Times
We aim (but can't guarantee) to despatch all items that are paid for by 1pm on the sameday. On occasions (workloads permitting) we may be able to provide sameday despatch on items paid for after 1pm. Items paid for after this time will be despatched on the next working day. Please be aware that as we are open Mon-Fri, Items ordered on a Friday afternoon will be despatched on the following Monday.
The delivery services that we offer are as follows (Please note the the times listed below are guidelines issued to us by the service provider (i.e Royal Mail) and should be used as such, and therefore Aluminium Droitwich cannot guarantee or be held responsible for actual delivery times.
1st Class Post = Next Working Day (AFTER day of despatch)
2nd Class Post = 1-3 Working Days (AFTER day of despatch)
My Hermes = 5 Working Days (AFTER day of despatch)
Next Day Courier = Next Working Day (After day of despatch).
Please note that the Next Day Courier service is only available to mainland GB. For deliveries to I.O.M, I.O.W, N.I, Scottish Highlands and some other remote areas of Scotland (Including all Postcodes that begin HS, IV, KW & ZE), please contact us prior to ordering and we will give you a cost for us to send via Royal Mail. Some BUT NOT ALL of postcodes that begin AB, FK, KA, PA & PH are also affected. If you live in one of these areas, again please contact us prior to purchase with your full post code and we will check if the courier covers your area for the price quoted.
If you require your material cutting, you must include details of your cutting requirements in the "Message To Seller" section of the Paypal payment. If you send the request in any other way (i.e via E-Bay message or E-mail) we cannot guarantee that we will get this information before your item is despatched.
Everytime we cut your material with a saw (Therefore this doesn't apply to sheet or plate as these items are guillotined), we lose approx 5mm of material (It turns into swarf); please bear this in mind when ordering. For example, it is not possible for us to cut a 1000mm long bar into 10 pieces 100mm long. A 1000mm long bar would yield 10 equal pieces of approx 95mm long.
Please be aware that we are stockists and not engineers, we operate to s +/- 2mm cutting tolerance. If you need this to be closer, you can request this on ordering, however, we cannot guarantee to match your request.
We accept returns of our items if they are returned to us within 14 days of receipt and that no change has been made to the item from the listing (e.g asking for the item to be cut.
If your item is damaged, you must adhere to the following -
Items sent via post - You must contact us within 48 hours of delivery.
Items sent via courier - You must contact us within 12 hours of signing for the item. The courier will not, under any circumstances consider any claims that we make outside of this period.
If the item is delivered by courier and you suspect it may be damaged (i.e it looks bent or packaging is badly damaged) the chances of making a succesfull claim will be increased if you mark the drivers note "Damaged".
In all instances (Both Post & Courier) you must keep all the packaging with the item and leave us with a daytime contact number as Royal Mail / The courier may wish to contact you to arrange inspection of the item.
And finally....Customer satisfaction is our priority!! Should you have any issues with your purchase or with the service that you receive from Aluminium Droitwich then please contact us and let us know before leaving feedback as if we are not aware that a problem exists we are unable to rectify it!
