DESCRIPTION:

BRAND NEW 

AMSTRAD DRX-595 SINGLE TUNER SKY HD RECEIVER

The DRX595 is a HD receiver that replaces the now discountinued standard digiboxes. The new receiver from Sky allows users to view both high definition and and standard definition although unlike the DRX895 does not have an internal hard drive for Sky+ recording.




The new SkyHD DRX595 is designed in the same fashion as the stylish DRX895 range of receivers with a high gloss black finnish that looks very stylish and can be stored not only horizontally or vertically. Not only is the receiver as sleek as the new DRX895 range of digiboxes but it’s smaller as well measuring 273mm Wide and 52mm High.


 

As we would expect the DRX595 has a HDMI output for watching both standard and high definition channels as well as allowing access to 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound which is a new feature for a Sky Digibox. The DRX595 also has one scart cable an optical output, LNB input, USB, 10 pin mini DIN and Ethernet port. Although Sky have yet to activatethe service it is rumoured that by connecting the DRX595 via ethernet to a Sky+ HD receiver you will be able to view programmes that have been  recorded on the Sky+ HD receiver on the DRX595.

It’s worth noting that the DRX595 does not have a modulator i.e. an aerial input and output although it is possible to connect this Digibox to other TVs via coax cable by using a modulator.

Please also note that this is a Standard Sky HD Digibox and not a Sky+HD box and does NOT have an internal hard drive for recording.

The Satellite Shop was established as Dishlink in 1989 with the launch of analogue Sky TV in the UK. Satellite dishes for Sky and foreign channels were the main activity in the early days. Since then our range has expanded to include most aspects of home entertainment from a basic service call out to full multi-room A/V systems.

We have our own team of installation engineers covering Tunbridge Wells, Tonbridge, Crowborough and Sevenoaks areas with trade partners who can carry out installations in other areas in the UK.

We have recently launched our franchise proposal and hope to have at least 30 branches across the UK by 2012. We also sell our range of products via our website usually at a lower cost than in our shops. This is because our costs are lower and we don’t provide face to face advice and local support for web sales. We usually use Citylink courier and Royal mail to deliver our goods and pay extra attention to packaging so goods arrive in one piece.

Where We Deliver

Delivery must be to the credit card holders address unless prior arrangement has been made with The Satellite Shop.. All deliveries must be signed for (except items sent by standard post and which are small enough to be put through your letterbox). Please make sure you keep the receipt enclosed with your goods.

Delivery Charges

We make every effort to keep our delivery charges as low as possible. Our charge depends on the type of product ordered we try our best to despatch all orders in the specified period shown with the product in the checkout. You usually only pay one delivery charge, irrespective of the number of products ordered. If you order two or more products which fall into different categories, a higher charge may apply

There are additional charges if you choose a premium delivery service, (i.e. Saturday delivery)

Products are generally delivered either by Courier or by royal mail.
