BOOK GRADING SYSTEM
The grading system is based on The Book Collector system.
MINT: The book is new, complete with dust jacket and is in perfect condition, as is the dust jacket.
Fine+: Between EX and MINT.
Fine: As the Book Collector FINE. The book is in excellent condition and will show evidence of ownership and storage but should be in almost perfect condition. A small inscription or name of previous owner is allowed. The dust jacket should look as new but a small amount of rubbing to edges and corners is allowed.
VG+: Between VG and EX.
VG: Maybe a small amount of foxing or fading or tiny crease or mark but no major faults. Dust jacket is clean with no tears but may have some rubbing and fading to edges and corners. A tiny crease or tear is allowed.
GOOD+: Between GOOD and VG.
GOOD: Clearly second hand but complete and readable. No major faults but any tears, marks etc will be listed in the description. May have some underlining or highlighting. Dust jacket has good colouring but may have marks, stains, creasing ( nothing major) and other signs of wear. Edges and corners may be rubbed and have smallish tears.
FAIR: Pages may be very creased, have an amount of staining or large marks, even small tears to pages. Loose pages and spine are also possible. May be writing in the book. Jacket may have tears, significant marks or stains but will be intact.
POOR: The book is in bad condition, pages may be away from the spine, it could be warped, pages missing, generally difficult to read. Jacket may be in pieces, badly stained etc.
