Antique late 18C / early 19C Georgian inlaid walnut, mahogany, satin birch bureau bookcase desk.
This piece of furniture really has the look and makes a statement.
Replacement claret baize.
This is a rare and graceful piece of furniture.
Super colour, age and patina.
Some damaged veneer /inlay.....but it adds to the charm.
We are unsure whether the veneers and inlay on the front are a later 19C addition and quite a lot of other things may have been changed.....but it is still lovely.
This piece of furniture is not in perfect condition but is so charming and full of age and character.
All of the drawers work as they should.

Two adjustable shelves 1050mmW x 225mmD in a top cupboard opening 1050mmW x 850mmH.
This piece of furniture has some historical knocks, marks, repairs and alterations as one may expect given it's age. There is historical woodworm which we have treated for good measure. There is a curl on the fall front (see pictures). The bureau back has been replaced.

Terms of Sale
Antique furniture is old and we have done our best to describe any major faults. The buyer should expect imperfections such as shrinkage cracks/gaps, slight warping, repairs to structure and veneers, extinct woodworm holes and surface wear/marks/repairs that are consistent with age. These features are to be expected on genuine antiques and add to their character and historical honesty. It is quite usual also for handles, drawer bottoms/runners, feet and other component parts to be replaced over the years. Unless otherwise stated there is unlikely to be a key and the locks may or may not exist/work. Please call 07866 705199 or email before buying and we will send additional photos and do our best to describe the item honestly. This is always a good idea. Even better you are welcome to come and view the item before buying. Just call us on 07866 705199 or email email@example.com for an appointment. We offer a full refund excluding our delivery costs, providing you return the item (at your expense) to us in its original condition within 28 days of receipt.
We are an antiques business that cares about customer satisfaction. We want all of our customers to be happy with any purchase, so please feel free to ask as many questions as you like before making any purchase. All items are available for viewing by appointment, which we actively encourage. We will always be more than happy to email additional photos or honestly describe any particular aspect of a listed item. We offer a full refund excluding our delivery costs providing you return the item (at your expense) in its original condition within 28 days of receipt.
Visits are welcome, but contact us for an appointment first on firstname.lastname@example.org or 07866705199 as we are usually, but not always available.
