Antique carved oak blanket box.This has been in the family since the 20,s.It is very sturdy and well carved on top and front.The carving on the top is of a galleon and I will include a picture of this later this week It has been used as a hall storage box for hats and scarves for as long as I can remember.Sadly it is time for it to go.It is in fantastic condition with ordinal hinges.All the nails are the old fashioned hand made clout nails which shows it is old.Pick up a bargain from a lovely clean smoke free home.The dimensions of the chest in inches are...31longx16.5widex18high.check my feedback and good luck.Pick up only.check my other items for sale.I have now added the top picture.Interesting to find out that this is the Blue Peter Galleon and these chests are sought after.Someone had seen this on the antiques roadshow and told me about it last night!!! I am not altering the starting price but you might be getting a real bargain....lol.
