George III oak welsh dresser base, circa 1780/ late 18th Century 3 drawers with front cabrio legs. The base includes two small cupboards and the lowest shelf.
The plate rack of the welsh dresser is more modern, perhaps Victorian or Edwardian, integrating above the built in cupboards and then requires attachment to a supporting wall.
Both parts have a wonderful colour, particularly the older base. The photos show the reflection of the blinds in the room rather than a flaw in the surface. At some stage (probably to fit under some stairs) a corner was removed from the top of the dresser base, however this was restored many years ago (as can be seen on the photos)
We have had this in the family for 3 generations, however sadly the need for space means we have to sell it.
