English School, 19th Century

Oil on Canvas

A good quality 19th Century, English, oil on canvas painting of farmyard friends.

The scene depicts two farmers / cattle dealers discussing the merits of their livestock, perhaps with the possibility of a sale of one or more of the animals. Two of the cattle are standing in the foreground proudly, whilst the other is lying down and looking back. There is also a number of chickens in the foreground, one with its head in the cattle's drinking bucket.

A charming oil in all respects evoking Country life scene from the 1800's.

Un-signed and un-framed.
