Worldwide Dispatch - I am happy to quote for International Shipping.
For items under 2.00 Kg weight I use International Signed for Royal Airmail. For items over this weight see below. You can always ask me for a quote before buying.
I sometimes offer regular Airmail Postage to some international locations. This is not 'signed for', and so does not meet eBay and PayPal protection and tracking recommendations. However, if YOU are prepared to take the slight risk of non-delivery, this will save you £5.30 GBP on airmail postage prices, regardless of package size. This risk can be worth taking for low value items. Most UK originated air mail is in the hands of the host country after 36 hours. Subsequent delays or losses are then out of the hands of the usually reliable UK postal services. Thus the offer is dependent on the perceived reliability of the postal service in the destination country.
£50.00 International Postage?!
Australian, Canadian, and US Buyers may be surprised to see an entry of £50.00 for International Shipping. Rest assured, this is not what you will pay. EBay require I put an amount here to allow maximised visibility for my listing on your home eBay sites. It would be too much work to enter accurate P&P data for each of my listings as I sell a large variety of items. I will (of course) only invoice you for realistic P&P charges - and am more than happy to quote these in advance.
Heavy & large items - International Shipping.
Items over 2.0 kg weight (And lengthy items - over 60 cm long) are in a different international postage category. I strongly recommend that overseas bidders & buyers contact me first for a shipping estimate, to avoid embarrassing surprises. These items can get quite expensive to ship worldwide as the weight or volume increases. I mostly use UPS or DHL couriers, as they are cheaper, and far quicker than the old 'surface' mail category. Such items are insured, tracked and signed for.
Do I offer 'Signed for' on UK delivery?
UK 'Signed for' = £1.10 Extra Charge (Irrespective of weight)
Not on my initial invoice, but I ask UK buyers to contact me if they specifically want 'signed for' delivery. If you choose not to pay for this, then I personally believe you are tacitly agreeing to join me in taking a very small risk. EBay and PayPal rules technically insist on proof of delivery. This means that to fully protect myself, I should also insist on 'signed for' postage. This raises the postage cost on every single item. This is absurd on small, or low value items. In reality the risk is small, as total loss is rare in the UK, and I pack as carefully as I can to avoid breakage.
I am happy to combine postage.
I promise to give you full advantage of combined postage.
What can you expect from me?
I have 4 regular postage days, Monday through to Thursday. Items with payment cleared by 11.00 am will get posted same day. I always get proof of postage. Due to other commitments, I rarely post Friday or Saturday. I try to notify buyers at every stage of the transaction, but please note that eBay have assumed control of standard email notifications, so I am no longer in control of their frequency or content.
