If you want an entry level mac this is a good place to start. It is one of the earlier macs with an Intel processor which means that whilst it can be picked up (as I did on Ebay) at a relatively cheap price the latest software will still run on it. This isn’t the case with PowerPC chipped Macs. Though a few years old now it is still very nicely styled and has a small desktop footprint. It is quite capable as a professional system but it also makes a nice solution for a more inexperienced - maybe elderly user who just wants to email and use the net. BBC iPlayer looks pretty good on it’s high quality screen. Whilst Macs are not really virus proof - maybe a case of being ignored than being super secure, in practise they do not get hit as much as PCs so again wouldn’t scare a less experienced user.Read full review
I love my iMac, is really great, couldn't ask for more, is fast when broasing the net, lauch the programs very fast... great graphics, easy to use, love it!
Does everything my son's Mac Book Pro does at one third the price. Worth spending the time to make sure the screen was unmarked.
