Payment must be made within 7 days of winning bid unless other arrangements have been made. If there is a problem with payment, please contact me. I am quite reasonable and willing to help sort out any problems, but If I receive no contact after 7 days have passed, a non-payment case will be opened and I will offer the item to the next highest bidder.
Payments from overseas must be made with paypal unless other arrangements are agreed with me prior to bidding. U.K payments can be made via paypal, personal cheque or postal order. Cash on collection is also possible by arrangement.
I keep my postage costs to a reasonable level - but they do have to reflect the costs of lightweight packaging materials and the time spent packing the item properly so that it will arrive with you in one piece.
I usually add about one pound on top of what Royal Mail or Courier charge as the shipping cost to cover the materials used - I recycle what I can but still spend a lot on bubblewrap, tape, boxes etc. It is not my aim to make a profit out of shipping costs, but I do spend many hours packing items and my time is valuable too.
NOTE THAT EBAY NOW CHARGE AN ADDITIONAL FEE TO SELLERS OF 10% OF ALL POSTAGE COSTS - AND IF YOU PAY BY PAYPAL THEN PAYPAL CHARGE THE SELLER ANOTHER 5% - These charges are Included in the amount I ask for shipping.
IF FOR ANY REASON YOU FEEL YOU CANNOT GIVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK AND A 5 STAR RATING, PLEASE CONTACT ME BEFORE LEAVING FEEDBACK SO THAT I CAN ADDRESS ANY ISSUES THERE MAY BE. I WILL LEAVE POSITIVE FEEDBACK FOR YOU WHEN I AM ASSURED THAT THE ITEM HAS ARRIVED SAFELY AND THERE ARE NO PROBLEMS.
LOST IN POST ITEMS:
If the item goes missing, I'll send you the proof of posting so that you can make a claim from the post office for compensation - I will not claim on your behalf as the post office will not compensate me for the full value of any item, but they will compensate the purchaser for the full value - mad but true.
ITEMS DAMAGED OR BROKEN
This almost never happens as I pack items with extreme care. ( two in a thousand items so far...) BUT the post office will not compensate for damage to delicate items or antiques and nor will most couriers . If you want to have insurance against loss or damage in the post, this can be arranged. Please let me know prior to payment and I'll work out the cost for this and add it to your billing. If you take out insurance and your item arrives in more pieces than it should, let me know and I'll organise a refund.
If insurance has not been taken out then I can do nothing about lost or broken items, but will provide proof of posting to assist you with any claim you make against the post office. If you would like insurance, please email me after you have won the item and I can add it on to the invoice for you. The cost of this insurance is approximately £2 per listiing.
Combined Shipping for items: If you buy more than one item from me, please wait to be invoiced before paying so that I can apply an appropriate postage discount. I will combine multiple purchases to help reduce postage costs where possible, as it is usually possible to post several small items in one parcel for less than the cost of sending them in separate parcels. Note: Overseas shipments have to weigh less than 2kg packed weight to be sent by Airmail, otherwise they have to go by courier, which is usually much more expensive. For overseas shipments, It is best to ask first if I can combine your items before you bid.
Recorded delivery: I always obtain proof of posting, but it is possible for the item to get lost or stolen in transit. I do offer a recorded delivery service, and would strongly advise that you use it. If you want Recorded Delivery, or special next day delivery, or a tracked courier service, please let me know prior to payment and I'll add the charge for this to your billing.
Terms of Sale:
Items are described by me to the best of my ability. I do not claim to be an expert in any field. If you notice something I have missed, or If you see I have listed an item incorrectly. please contact me so I can amend the listing.
Refunds and Returns:
I do not accept returns for any reason other than a gross error in my description of the item. If a return is agreed and refund is made then you must return the item to me at your own expense to obtain the refund.
I will refund only if the item is significantly not as described. It is your responsibility to read the listing properly.
There is only a problem with a tiny fraction of a percent of the transactions made on e-bay. More than 99 % of the time everything goes smoothly and both buyer and seller are very happy with the deal. However, should something go wrong, and there is a disagreement, I will always abide with any ruling made by either ebay or paypal.

I sell you the item, you pay for the postage. These are two different things. Postage is not part of the cost of the item - you are welcome to collect items in person at no charge.
