|Seller notes:||“Used - there is a small chip on the largest bead, near to the hole, the other two large beads have several tiny fleabites and one of the tube beads (next to the clasp) has a very small chip at the end, otherwise most to the beads are in good condition.”|
|Main Material/ Metal:||Brass||Style/ Period:||Art Deco|
|Main Colour:||Red||Country of manufacture:||Czechoslovakia|
The colour and geometric shapes of this necklace, encompass all the elements of the jazz age. Brass links support three bead types: delicate, red glass tubes, faceted, round, red glass beads and finally, faceted, pentagonal, glass beads - thin stripes of red glass occupy the five corners, lengthwise, in addition these beads are sandwiched between brass caps (often present on signed Czech necklaces). Although there are several fleabites on the pentagonal beads and a small chip on the end of the largest bead, plus the end of one of the tube beads is nibbled, the necklace is in good condition because the majority of beads are in good condition, as are the brass links and the necklace fastens securely via the bolt ring clasp.
Length of large bead: 3/4inch/2cms
Length of necklace: 16inches/41cms.
Please note, because of the need to enlarge photos to show detail and condition, jewellery may appear larger than it really is.
