BMC,Mini, Morris,MG,Riley,Wolseley,Lucas P700 Tripod Headlamp and Rim Assembly

A BOXED NEW OLD STOCK ORIGINAL Pair of the Lucas P700 Tripod Headlights so popular in the 1950's and 1960's.

HEADLAMP Light Units: These are all original Boxed New Old Stock. These units are in excellent condition although both lights have some internal "Fogging" which will probably burn off once used. Externally the glass is superb with a nice crisp sharp finish that only original Lucas lights seem to have. The bottom of the units EXTERNALLY has had some storage corrosion but this does not appear to have affected the internal silvering. The Tripod units and the Lucas Black buttons and the internal chrome bulb shrouds are 99% perfect. You can fit these lights with Halogen BPF fitting bulbs if you wish, these are readily available from specialists.

RETAINING PLATES: These are boxed New Old Stock and both the chrome and zinc plating is 99% Factory Finish.

CHROME HEADLAMP RIMS: These are boxed NEW OLD STOCK although on VERY CLOSE examination there is some deterioration of the chrome but this is not noticeable until you are very close to the rims, this will not show on the photographs. They do of course have the SEPARATE CHROME RIVET at the top of the rim and NOT the crude "Dimple" of modern reproductions.

Original New Old Stock Lucas Lights are getting very difficult source and with the poor quality of reproduction items these originals are highly sought after.
