I really liked the battery life. Although I speak a lot I find the battery a lot more reliable than the touch screen phone I had before. The keyboard makes texting and e-mailing a lot easier. The heat around my ear which I used to feel after short conversations with my other handsets don't occur even after long talks with E72. Therefore I feel it's healthier. I've also used it as a modem for my laptop. The setup programme is easy to use with a usage indicator showing how many Mb you have used and the connection speed was fairly good so that's another plus. What needs to be improved is the sound. Especially on earphones I find it very low. I was struggling to have a conversation using the earphones provided with the handset. You could try using different ones and see if there are any changes. If you are using a mobile for business, I would definitely recommend to try this model.Read full review
I like the tried and tested Nokia-ness, top notch build quality, and unfussy user interface. This phone is lovely to look at, feels solid and substantial in the hand. The utilities work and it has enough processor power to multitask and rarely crashes. The keyboard is responsive and has a nice satisfying button travel. Messaging and calling is very functional, reception is consistant and call quality is good, as are the basic organiser/note/calender/meeting utilities, if your a nokia fan youll feel right at home. The camera is typically good quality and the video camera is surprisingly good. There are a few extra nice touches and the whole package really feels QUALITY! The problem is it all seems a bit out of date, the E72 lacks the slickness of the competitions products. Almost all the other phone manufacturers have embraced the Smartphone user 'experience' and nokia has somehow avoided this, falling behind with apps and user content to the degree that their Symbian operating system is all but finished. The E72 is still a great little phone however and if you want a solid, well made and very no-nonsense messaging/calling/web browsing/camera etc phone these can be had for a third the price of a HTC or GALAXY etcRead full review
I needed a phone with buttons, touch screens don't agree with me, and this is the business. I can phone, text and access the web. everything I need. Plus its made of metal and can be dropped without breaking. This phone could be so much more if the Symbian software updates were still available. Unfortunately, most of the apps and shortcuts don't work because of this. However, you can download mini opera to access the internet. I found this out after lots of research on web.

A very good designed Nokia handset. The quality rivals that of an iPhone 3GS (Not the iPhone 4 though!) and the battery life is very good, around 4-5days with moderate usage. Three annoyances that springs to mind: 1) When you silence a calendar-entry alarm, it disappears and you have to unlock the phone and physically go to your calendar to view it again. This does not happen with other Nokia phones so I wonder why this is the case with the E72. 2) Email(gmail) was a nightmare to set up. Even though a "gmail wizard" is available on the phone, you have to manually set it up. You need to consult the Gmail forums in order to find all the necessary settings. 3) Switching off the WiFi is a laborious taks, WHY NOKIA!!!
The phone was purchased for my son and he is very pleased with it. It is the same phone as he had before but in white which he wanted. He bought it because he lost his previous one. One purchase we do have problems with is a baby car seat we bought. we purchased 2 baby car seats last August from a company called Bestbuys4baby. The seats arrived promptly and they looked OK. It was not until the baby was due to be born in December and the seats were to be fitted it was noticed that a bracket type hook was missing from the back of one. We have tried phoning the company but they are either closed or if we do get through they are always busy so they ask you to email. We have done this twice but the email always comes back as not able to send. We have written a letter to the so called head office in Cornwall but we have not had a reply. Luckily we have realised that the missing part is not too important and we can use the seat without it. We purchased through Ebay and we notice they are still on Ebay but they are not easy to contact. Any ideas. I did also tried emailing using a different email address but they did not answer that either.Read full review
