These are excellent devices and the provide a very cost effective solution to a common connectivity problem and we recommend them to you.
Standard domestic telephone wiring uses three wires to carry the signal between the master socket and the extensions within your home. Two of these wires come from the outside and are connected directly to your local telephone exchange. The third wire is generated in your master socket and carries the 'bell' signal which is used to ring some old-fashioned telephones when someone calls you.
If you have an ADSL service with each phone connected to a micro-filter then the bell-wire is completely redundant since a bell signal is generated in each micro-filter for the few phones which still need it. Unfortunately this bell-wire often tends to cause some degradation to the ADSL signal as it travels about your house.
The BT solution is called the iPlate or Interstitial Plate which we picture above! This device places a filter on the bell-wire and is simple and easy to fit.
Another solution to this problem would be to simply detach the front section of your BT master socket and disconnect the bell-wire(s) connected from pin 3 and re-fit the faceplate - simple as that!
Also please remember the best solution for ADSL wiring is based on a centralised master faceplate splitter models (see our other listings) and please consider this option as well if you have serious ADSL signal quality issues.

Any returned item must be in the original packaging with all the items that shipped included, undamaged and in a re-saleable condition.
Software and similar items in sealed packaging must be returned unopened with all seals intact.
The costs of returning the item safely to us are the responsibility of the buyer including proof of delivery and any applicable insurance.
A restocking fee of 20% of the item cost (excluding postage) will be applied in all cases.
Any refund will be made once the item has been checked and found to be in a re-saleable condition.
RETURN OF FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

If the item has been damaged in transit and it is visible on delivery please raise the issue immediately with the carrier and then inform us.

Items that are 'dead on arrival' or become faulty within 14 days will either be replaced where possible or a refund provided. Again you will need to return the item to us and we will then check the item before any refund can be provided.

items that are sold as 'used' are offered without any warranty outside of the initial 14-day period so no returns will be entertained after that period.
