Brand New - Babolat Pure Drive 107 GT Strung - New Model - 2012 Year
Please note: This racket strung: Babolat RPM Blast - Black
Grip size L3, 4 3/8
The Babolat Pure Drive GT 107 is perhaps the definition of a tweener racquet. It's longer, lighter and has a bigger face than the standard Pure Drive, but is shorter, heavier and has a smaller head than the oversized. It's designed for players who desire a little more pop and bigger sweet spot than the standard offers, but find the oversize too light and powerful. The Pure Drive 107 is indeed a nice compromise. The extra surface area was appreciated by those looking for more juice on their strokes, yet they didn't feel it was a detriment to control. Whether at the baseline or net, most found a predictably solid and stable response from their shots. Players who favor topspin were particularly happy with the frame, while those who hit a flatter ball thought the Pure Drive 107 to be a bit overly powerful and tough to control.
A good all-around racquet that should appeal to a wide range of playing styles and ability levels.

Cortex Active Technology: Thanks to a new type of construction and a CDS (Cortex Damping System) interface, the latest edition of our active Cortex technology ensures the perfect transmission of information to the hand so players can get an incomparable feel for the ball, with greater power and control on each hit. The Cortex system still filters out harmful vibrations, the Tungsten content adds to the feel.
GT Technology: Graphite Tungsten Technology is a hybrid material containing braided carbon fibers and tungsten filaments throughout the entire racquet. This customized performance booster improves racquet performance based on the concentration of Tungsten fibers at various strategic parts of the frame. The main benefit is increased power and versatility. A value added aspect of GT technology is that the added concentration of Tungsten in the head of the racquet strengthens the frame (up to 26% more than the previous Pure Drive) to reduce torque and increase precision.
Woofer Technology: Woofer is the first dynamic technology which makes the frame and the strings interact when striking the ball. Woofer delivers 10% more power than conventional racquets, and ensures that the strings retain their energy longer. It enlarges the sweetspot area for every racquet size. This technology enables 25% more contact between the ball and the strings for optimal control, feel and increased spin.
