WHAT IS BEECH WOOD? 

Common Beech or the European Beech or Fagus sylvatica, is a deciduous tree belonging to the beech family Fagaceae. It is a large tree, capable of reaching heights of up to 49 m (160 ft) tall and 3 m (10 ft) trunk diameter, though more typically 25–35 m (80–115 ft) tall and up to 1.5 m (5 ft) trunk diameter. A 10-year-old sapling will stand about 4 m (13 ft) tall. It has a typical lifespan of 150 to 200 years, though sometimes up to 300 years.

The wood of the European Beech is used in the manufacture of numerous objects and implements. Its fine and short grain makes it an easy wood to work with, easy to soak, dye (except its heartwood), varnish and glue. Steaming makes the wood even easier to machine

Orders will be despatched via Royal Mail or courier service. Most items will be sent out the next day but we will despatch all orders within 2 working days of cleared funds.

All goods must be signed for by an adult aged 18 years or over on delivery where applicable.

All deliveries are free postage to mainland UK by 2nd class post unless otherwise stated.  Customers from the Channel Islands, Isle of Man, Orkney, Shetland, Scottish Islands, BFPO addresses and Northern Island please contact us before the purchase.

Due to additional charges imposed by couriers for deliveries a surcharge may be levied to cover carriage out with mainland UK. We advise customers to contact us for a final postage fee before finalising the orders. The surcharge may not apply to small items being sent via Royal mail. Please email item details first for postage quote. Where possible we will try our best to avoid courier service for surcharge areas.

We would also like to emphasise that although these areas are indeed part of UK but due to high cost of shipping and distance transportation, couriers charge surcharge which we have no control over. More details can be found by contacting any UK courier companies or on their websites.

If you have already made a purchase without reading the instructions/terms of sale and wish to cancel the order please let us know. Since we fully understand the situation and do agree that it might not be feasible in some cases, a full refund on request will be issued right away

Return Policy:

If you change your mind, or any of our products fall below the standard you would expect and you wish to return the item, you must notify us via the link in "my eBay" within 7 days of delivery. All items must be returned within 14 days for a refund. We are happy to refund or exchange the item provided it is returned unused, in its original packaging with all accessories. We will then issue you with a return authorisation number, address and clear shipping instructions. Please do not send anything back without return authorisation number. Any item returned without an authorisation number might not be processed properly and may cause delays in refund or you might not be able to get any refund at all. Due to hygiene and health reasons, once unwrapped some items cannot be returned unless they are faulty such as earrings, body jewellery & personal grooming products, some fancy dresses, undergarments etc. For the same reasons mattress, sofa bed or divan that has been unwrapped will be deemed as used and cannot be returned for any reason other than manufacturing fault. We may also restrict the exchange of some media products once opened such as CD's, DVD's and computer software. Any flat-pack furniture that has been partially or fully assembled cannot be returned for any reason other than manufacturing fault.

Faulty Goods:

All goods are new unless otherwise stated. Any item found to be damaged or faulty when received must be returned to us within 7 days of receipt, please contact us through eBay. We will offer a refund, including postage costs or a replacement product once the original product has been returned to us for assessment and verification of the fault (Please note you must contact us to obtain the return authorisation number before returning the product). If a product is returned as faulty but not found to have a manufacturing fault or if a fault has developed as a result of misuse, a charge of 10% will be levied for restocking. Customer is also liable for postage either way.

Non-Faulty Goods:

We accept the return of goods that were wrongly ordered or ordered in error for exchange. These items must be returned to us unused with original packaging intact and in a saleable condition within 7 days of receipt. Purchase price will be refunded by the same method as the payment was made. Customer is responsible for meeting all postage fees.
