Artist: Beth Anne Martin Size: 15 in.
Animal: Teddy Bear Country/Region of Manufacture: United States
Color: Tan Country of Manufacture: United States

This hand crafted fifteen inch teddy bear was made by the talented bear artist Beth Anne Martin. He is fifteen inches long as measured from the bottom of his feet to the top of his head. He has two paper tags attached with a safety pin to his Christmasy red belled collar which was added, along with feather trimmed collar and the red felt pointed hat, by the collector who had owned him. On one tag is hand written "Otto" and on the other side "Beth Ann Martin". The other tag is the original printed tag of Beth Anne Martin inside of which is handwritten "one of a kind" and "Madeline Kaye". His hat and collars are pinned on with .straight pins.

He is fully jointed and has felt pads which are toned darker near the edges to simulate the patina that the pads of an antique bear might have. He has long curved arms, well shaped feet, and a prominent hump at the top of his back. He has a weighted body and black glass eyes. His look is similar to that of the antique bears made by Ideal which have a similarly broad forehead with black eyes set wide apart. His soft tan mohair is of a very fine quality. There is a leather tag sewn into his back seam on which is bear artist Beth Anne Martin's name beneath which is written on the same tag "Bears by Beth Anne". I don't know the exact year that he was made but I am guessing that he was made within the last ten years.

He has no odor of smoke. He does have an aroma of potpourri as did all of the bears that came from this collection. This is an artist bear, not meant to be played with by children and not safe for children to play with.
