The display contains the complete set of seven 1958 coins, namely: halfcrown, florin, Scottish and English shilling, sixpence, threepence and halfpenny (the penny was not issued dated 1958).

The coins are housed within a display that is held in a protection case, sized just over 17cm x 12cm. The display and case are in New/Mint condition and the coins are in Fine (or better) condition.

Our manufacturing process includes a precision laser cutting method to create the necessary holes in each display for the required coins to be inserted and held, safely recessed, in the correct position.

This would make a wonderful gift for a Bolton Wanderers fan.

The product can be removed from the protection case, to allow frame mounted display, if so desired.

FA Cup Final 1958: Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Manchester United

Wembley Stadium: Saturday 3rd May

Bolton Wanderers 2-0 Manchester United

(Lofthouse 2)

BW: Hopkinson, Hartle, Banks, Hennin, Higgings, Edwards, Birch, Stevens, Lofthouse, Parry, Holden.

MU: Gregg, Foulkes, Greaves, Goodwin, Cope, Crowther, Dawson, Taylor E, Charlton, Viollet, Webster.

Referee: J Sherlock                Attendance: 100,000

Bolton won the Cup and ended a Wembley tradition: for the first time the previous years beaten finalists had returned to Wembley and lost again.

Wanderers were undoubtedly the better side on the day and their play was more imaginative, balanced, and carrying more punch than that of their opponents. Yet, for a tragic reason, this will also be remembered for Manchester United's appearance in the Final.

Three months earlier, with United already through to the fifth round, the team had been decimated by the Munich crash.

United had four crash survivors in their Wembley line up and were first on the attack. It was Bolton, though, who snatched the lead after only two minutes, with Lofthouse's close range effort.

The United defence held on as Bolton were quick to try to ram home their advantage. Gregg saved superbly from Lofthouse and Birch, and Cope was a tower of strength at centre half. There was always a chance that one of Bobby Charlton's flashing shots would bring them level, though the rest of the United attack seemed more inclined to play across the field than down it.

Three minutes after Charlton had struck a post, the game was finally lost for United as Bolton scored a controversial second goal. From Stevens' hard shot, Gregg pushed the ball into the air, and Lofthouse moved forward to charge both goalkeeper and ball over the line.
